A&P MECHANIC
Job Title: Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic
Department: Maintenance
Location: Elko, Nevada Travel Required: Occasional
Level/Salary Range: N/A Position Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hourly / Salary: $35.00-$45.00 per hour DOE, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Maintenance


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong commitment to safety and relentless pursuit of an accident-free work environment
Certifies airworthiness of aircraft
Conducts aircraft inspections
Makes appropriate repairs, modifications, adjustments, and replacements to aircraft
Investigates, analyzes, and corrects reported and apparent malfunctions in all aircraft and engine systems and
components
Inspects airframe components and performs engine repairs at specified intervals
Maintains records of all inspections, discrepancies, replacements, directive and service bulletin compliance, component
history and status of aircraft
Maintains aircraft, facilities, equipment, and materials in clean, orderly condition
Maintains ground support equipment
Any other duty as assigned
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years of experience inspecting, maintaining, and certifying turbine helicopters and/or general aviation fixed wing
aircraft
FAA A&P Mechanic certification, 2 years’ experience
Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with 5 years clean driving history
Ability to move and lift 75 pounds during aircraft and component maintenance
Ability to climb ladders and maintenance stands
Ability to fit/crawl in confined/tight spaces

PREFERRED/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous relevant field experience with Bell 206B3 / 206-L4
Completion of Bell Helicopter Field Maintenance Course
Previous relevant experience with the Rolls Royce turbine engine
Certification of Achievement from Rolls Royce
Knowledge and experience with computer programs (MS Word and Excel)
Relevant experience with avionics
Equipment Operation
Must own tools of the trade
May operate forklift, as needed
May operate motor vehicles, as needed

Physical Requirements:
Adequate vision, speech and hearing to perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities safely and effectively
Must be able to physically perform the functions of the positions
Must be physically capable of repeatedly bending at the waist, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, lifting
75 pounds above the level of the head
